When the DTM AMG Mercedes C-Coupé – renamed in Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM in 2015 – rolled on the grid for its first DTM race it had a tough act to follow. After all, it was the successor of the most successful DTM vehicle in the history of the sport: in 156 races, the DTM AMG Mercedes C-Class gave the Stuttgart based manufacturer 85 wins. And only after having been renamed, the new type really tied in with the successes of its predecessor. With Champion Pascal Wehrlein and the victory in the 2015 team championship, the C Coupé made its breakthrough. For the 2015 season, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM was subjected to face-lift.
